Definition
The DEWS Calculation Policy is about the Dubai International Financial Center Employee Workplace Savings. DEWS Plan is a progressive End of Service Benefit Plan introduced within DIFC to restructure the end-of-service gratuity plan. As per the policy, organization’s contributions towards investments in DEWS should not be less than the monthly gratuity accrual.
Scope and Applicability
The DEWS Calculation Policy defines and introduces the DIFC Employee Workplace Savings Scheme. DEWS Calculation Policy defines the “contributions” in the DIFC Employee Workplace Savings Scheme along with the eligibility to be enrolled in DEWS.
The DEWS Calculation Policy is applicable to employee/s who are on DIFC visa.
Objective
The Objective of DEWS Calculation Policy is to set a strong framework for calculation of DEWS and communicate with the employee/s that organization is aligned with the DIFC Employee Workplace Savings Scheme.
The objective of DEWS Calculation Policy is to explicitly communicate to the employee/s that DEWS is a replacement of the End Of Service Gratuity.
